Who are you without social media?
We never have enough time. We never have enough money. So, we scroll. We distract ourselves because a brief rest from our to-do’s will probably help us feel better.
Then we don’t feel better.
Maybe you’ve noticed that likes don’t translate to dollars. Perhaps you’re aware that your mood swings shift after a 60-second scroll sesh. Thought about ditching Facebook, deleting Instagram, or crossing X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Whatsapp, Telegram, YouTube, or Discord off your list?
Have I got a remedy for you.
This spring, join me for an 8-week experience to get off the socials.
You’ll pick the platforms you need to let go and the platforms you need to better manage.
You’ll work on it with a loving and supportive small group because that’s the only way to get through the algorithm detox.
We’ll manage the mood swings.
We’ll correct what it means to connect.
We’ll have fun doing it, too.
You’ll get the tools you need to stay in touch. You’ll find the resources to keep you up on the news. We’ll form new habits together. We’ll stop giving our attention away to the things we can’t control.
Social media is not making you money. The joy it brings is fleeting. It’s not “the only way” you can keep up with friends and fam although the algorithms will convince you otherwise. Have you seen what it’s doing to your brain in The Social Dilemma? Read anything by Jaron Lanier, Cathy O’Neil, or Shoshana Zuboff lately to help understand the devastating impacts we’re experience this very minute?
Let’s undo the madness.
Hit reply before you open Facebook again and let me know that you’d like to join us.

P.S. Will I post this on social media to collect interest? Of course not. Please tell your friends.
Considering that I am unsocial to begin with....this sounds great.
8 weeks... 😬 That sounds too good to be true! This year I've been not looking at anything before 9am, and that has been a wonderful way to start my day. Baby steps... #WhatAboutBob
